Research
Our award-winning researchers lead programs to better understand the distribution, abundance, behavior, ecology, physiology and health of poorly studied African turtles, manatees, and cetaceans.

Conservation
We contribute directly to conservation actions for African aquatic species. These actions include assisting the creation and sustainability of protected areas, working in partnership with local communities, and activities to increase species protection through national laws and international conventions.

Education
We lead education programs for schools and at festivals in up to six African countries each year. All of our programs also provide training for African biologists and graduate students in field research and conservation techniques.

Collaboration
We partner with communities, local wildlife agencies, national parks and marine protected areas in the countries where we work, as well as researchers from national and international science institutions, universities, and non-profit organizations.

Our programs focus on studying and protecting all African turtles (marine, freshwater and tortoises), African manatees, dolphins, and whales now and for future generations.
