Program Description

The African Manatee Alliance (AMA) is a network of researchers, conservationists, managers and educators working to study, protect, and raise awareness about the species throughout its range. Our network includes members from most African manatee range countries and other international researchers worldwide.

Through working groups on topics of interest, we are prioritizing work in order to fill knowledge gaps, build collaborations and share information with anyone interested in working with the species. As we grow, we will add working groups on additional topics.
