Kolanga Camara

Kolanga is a Masters degree student at Gamal Abdel Nasser University in Conakry, Guinea. After successfully completing training in manatee research and conservation techniques as part of a Guinea Manatee Fellowship from 2022-2024, Kolanga began his Master studies in 2025. He has a previous Masters degree in Botany from the Central University of N’Zérekoré, and he has worked as a wildlife consultant studying migratory birds for the NGO Guinée Écologie. His current Masters research focuses on the genetics of African manatees in Guinea’s interior rivers.
