Luca Luiselli

Scientific Advisor

Luca Luiselli is a tropical ecologist, Italian-Nigerian; research professor of ecology (full), and he spends time doing field research in West Africa (Nigeria, Togo, Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso). Luca teaches ecological statistics at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology Port Harcourt, Nigeria and at the University Roma Tre in Rome, Italy. He is the president of IDECC – Institute for Development, Ecology, Conservation and Cooperation, in Rome, Italy (www.ideccngo.org), and a member of the Steering Committee of the IUCN/SSC Tortoise and Freshwater Turtles Specialist Group, as well the Regional Coordinator for Africa of the IUCN/SSC Viper Specialist Group. He is one of the most cited ecologists of West Africa in the International peer-reviewed literature.
