After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Life and Earth Science at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar, Senegal, Yacine is now a Masters student in Ecology and Management of Aquatic Ecosystems at the university. For her thesis research project, Yacine is studying threats, habitat use and the diet of the African manatee at Lake Guiers, Senegal with the support of Dr. Lucy Keith Diagne.
